After seeing Emily Gemma rave about this powder, I had to give the Sisley Blur Expert Powder a try since Sisley is currently having a 20% off site wide sale. Now I am not a powder person at all since I have very dry skin and all powders make my skin look very dry and flakey but I have to say this powder is magic. Continue reading to see my full review.
Price
I had to talk about the price first because I have never spent so much on a powder before. The price is just ridiculous I mean $125 for a powder??? I mean it is Sisley and their products are pricey but the price is a lot. I would not recommend anyone buying this at full price. Good thing there is currently a sale for 20% off so it is a great time to try it.
Packaging
Sisley does not disappoint here. The packaging is just beautiful. Its a lovely sleek metal color compact and the powder itself is so beautiful. It even came in a beautiful gift box. The box the it was shipped in was even wrapped with tamper proof tape. I mean for the cost of the product, I am glad they make are you get it safely.

The powder is just beautiful. There is not fallout when you use a brush and goes on beautifully. It really does make your skin look you have a filter. You skin looks suuuuper smooth, glowy and tan.
Color and Coverage
After trying it a few times, I have to say this powder is magic! I mean I have extremely dry and flaky skin. As in I can’t wear any liquid or powder foundations because it just makes my skin look worse. I decided to try this product on bare skin and I cannot believe the results. I used the free brush that came along with the product (the brush is terrible! Its a tester brush so don’t ever worry about not getting it) and I pressed the product in as recommended by youtube videos. It covered my pores, smoothed out my skin and it really did give my face an “IG filter” affect. My skin looked glowy and smooth.
Unfortunately there is only one color. This will not work for everyone. When I used it and made me look tan so if you have very fair skin this won’t work on its on. I did read online that you can put your foundation on top of the powder, and you will get the same smoothing affect without the tan look. I tried the powder over my regular foundation and I really loved the smooth look but it did darken my foundation and I looked tan. If you aren’t looking to be tan, stay away.
Is it worth it?
As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, I think this product is worth (only on sale). I struggle with finding foundations and powders that don’t make my skin look dry and this product does not disappoint. I love how I can wear it on its own and my skin just looks glowy, smooth and natural. I am actually thinking of stocking up because I have never found a product like this and I don’t think I can use any other powder ever again.
